These pics were taken with the motor out of the car and Im not responsible for you fucking up your car or youself blah blah etc etc.
The first couple pics are blurry cuz the lense was dirty (sorry)

This is what your timing looks like when u take the cover off (this is from an OBD1 JDM H22a)

Start by taking the tension off the front, balancer belt. This is really easy you just loosen the bolt in the middle and the fork sound spring up. Remove the balancer belt, pulley, and tensioner so you have the following and begin taking the tension off your timing belt by loostening this bolt:

Remove the belt after its loose then take off the stud for the balancer bearings and autotensioner brackets so you have the following:

Now remove your water pump and seals and do whatever maintenance you are going to do, in my case i replaced them with a brand new water pump and oil pump.

Begin your manual tensioner install by putting on the bracket where the manual tensioner went:

Here is where the pictures get better lol, notice the difference?

Anyways, screw in this little guy as indicated by the red arrow:

next screw in the main stud and tighten it down...DONT FORGET THE WASHER! It goes on before the stud.

Add the spring holder (shown with 10mm wrench on it)

Add all springs and bearings as shown: click for close-up

Add timing belt crank gear and timing belt as indicated in HELMS manual (start at crank, go to water pump, intake cam gear then streach it onto the exhaust cam gear while keeping all gears at TDC). then install crank position sensors (if you're OBD2)

Here is the finished product with tension placed on both belts, all pulleys and gears at TDC and the bolt on the main stud tightened down.

Finally, just PM me if you have questions!
